I was talking with one of the herd managers a couple of weeks ago, and he realized that the middle of November was 15 years ago when the Highland Farm facility started operations. The Meadows Farm facility in early October has been running continuously for the past 18 years.
Not only have we had everything working for 15 and 18 years respectively, but some of our employees have been here since almost day one. We are very fortunate to have committed employees that work on our farms, and they really help us succeed.
Almost seven years ago both farms came together to form Majestic Crossing Dairy; 18 years ago I came back home to the farm. I think I’ve only been here on the farm for a little while, but when I sit down and start doing the research, I realize I’m the sixth generation farming here!
Time goes really quickly. Nothing stands still. Everything is always changing and moving.
