World Dairy Expo is coming up next week. If you’re in dairy farming, it’s the place to be. You can gain new knowledge, see the latest and greatest in technology, there’s an extensive animal expo, and of course it’s a chance to reconnect with friends and business partners.
People come from around the state, the country and even the world to attend World Dairy Expo. We’ll have quite a few buses running out to the farm here to show folks our new digester. We’ve even got a group from Denmark coming out. Since we’re the first in the state to use this particular digester technology, there’s a lot of excitement and we’re glad to be able to share what we’re learning and doing.
Being at Dairy Expo always makes me feel a little sentimental, because you realize how connected people in the dairy world are. The dairy community is big economic driver in our state, but in the end, it’s people. It’s good to be able to visit with friends, business partners, and other dairy professionals who either run farms or are connected with the dairy support industry, from veterinarians to nutritionists to cheese producers. Being part of this community reminds me that we touch a lot of lives in this industry. It’s a good feeling.
